At Burmesterhaus you can spend a great holiday in the center of the historical Berchtesgaden. A Finnish couple, Marke and Heikki Piuhola renovated this 1860's house at the beginning of 2013. Through the years, Burmesterhaus has been operating as a hotel, tavern and for apartment rental.
The new Finnish hosts offer their guests a home in the center of town that features four modern holiday apartments furnished with a touch of Scandinavia.
Besides the apartments, Burmesterhaus offers other spaces for social gatherings. Guests can enjoy the cozy library as well as a bigger dining room and kitchen on the ground floor.
Marke Piuhola is an experienced professional within the tourism industry. Her goal is to make guests to feel welcomed in Burmesterhaus and to run the daily operations of the house.
Marke's hobbies range from culture and languages to a variety of sports. She enjoys everything from concerts to art exhibitions and theater to museums.
Outdoor activities like skiing, hiking and bicycling are outstanding in Berchtesgaden, but Marke also likes to roll open her yoga mat or grap her tennis racket or golf clubs every once in a while. She also spends time on the back seat of her husband's motorcycle.
